Hyundai's record-breaking 2023 with 6 lakh domestic sales reflects growth, innovation, and commitment to inclusivity, setting new industry benchmarks.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has capped off a remarkable year by achieving its highest-ever domestic yearly sales in 2023, breaking the 6 lakh unit mark for the first time. The company's strategic advancements and significant milestones throughout the year have solidified its position as a frontrunner in the Indian automotive market.
In a testament to Hyundai's success, the company recorded an impressive 9% surge in domestic sales in CY2023 compared to the previous year. The total sales reached a historic milestone of 6,02,111 units, showcasing a strong growth trajectory from the 5,52,511 units in CY2022. Additionally, the export segment experienced a substantial uptick, increasing by 10% to 1,63,675 units in CY2023 from 1,48,300 units in CY2022.

Closing the year on a high note, December 2023 witnessed a significant spike in sales, with total sales reaching 56,450 units. The domestic market contributed 42,750 units, showcasing a notable 10% increase in sales compared to the previous year. The export segment also played a crucial role, with 13,700 units being shipped abroad.
