Discover the cutting-edge Jaguar I-TYPE 7, revealed by Jaguar TCS Racing for the upcoming Formula E Championship. Explore its advanced technology, sleek design, and championship-winning potential.
Jaguar TCS Racing has lifted the curtain on the eagerly awaited Jaguar I-TYPE 7, marking a significant leap forward in the team’s pursuit of Formula E dominance. This cutting-edge electric race car, developed for Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, promises to redefine performance, efficiency, and sustainability in the all-electric racing series.
The Jaguar I-TYPE 7 showcases the culmination of years of innovation, pushing the boundaries of electric motorsport technology. Designed under the leadership of Jaguar’s Advanced Engineering Team, the car emphasizes power, aerodynamics, and energy management to excel in the intense and highly competitive Formula E environment.
“The I-TYPE 7 embodies our commitment to racing as a testbed for innovation,” said Thierry Bolloré, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover. “Not only does this vehicle symbolize our ambition on the track, but it also drives the development of electric vehicle technology for our road cars.”
The I-TYPE 7 builds on the success of its predecessor, the I-TYPE 6, which clinched multiple podiums in the previous season.
Sustainability remains a cornerstone of Jaguar’s Formula E program. The I-TYPE 7 incorporates sustainable materials, including recycled carbon fiber and advanced battery components designed with a focus on recyclability. Jaguar TCS Racing has also announced a renewed commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2030, aligning with Formula E’s own sustainability goals.
Jaguar TCS Racing’s drivers for the upcoming season include Mitch Evans and Sam Bird, a pairing that boasts a formidable combination of experience, speed, and hunger for victory. The team is optimistic about their prospects, with Mitch Evans stating, “The I-TYPE 7 feels like a game-changer. It’s faster, more efficient, and incredibly responsive: it’s everything a driver could hope for.”
As the ABB FIA Formula E Championship enters its landmark 10th season, the competition is fiercer than ever. With new teams, circuits, and innovations, Jaguar TCS Racing faces a tough battle. However, the I-TYPE 7 and its state-of-the-art technology position the team as a strong contender for both race wins and the championship title.
Jaguar’s participation in Formula E continues to bridge the gap between racing innovation and road-going electric vehicles. Lessons learned on the racetrack influence Jaguar Land Rover’s next generation of electric cars, making the I-TYPE 7 not just a racing machine but also a symbol of progress for sustainable mobility.
With the I-TYPE 7 ready to hit the streets of iconic cities worldwide, Jaguar TCS Racing is poised for a thrilling new chapter. The team’s relentless pursuit of excellence, both on and off the track, ensures that Jaguar’s roar will be heard loud and clear in the all-electric era of motorsport.
