Kia has launched a new luxury (O) variant of its Carens model, complete with advanced ADAS features and enhanced safety.
Kia Carens has always been a popular choice among car buyers, and for good reason. With its sleek designand advanced features, it's no wonder it's one of Kia's best-selling cars. And now, with the introduction of the new luxury (O) variant, the Carens is set to elevate safety and comfort to the next level.
As one of the top three best-selling Kia cars, the Carens faces stiff competition from rivals such as the Maruti Ertiga / XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, and Toyota Innova Crysta. But with the upcoming facelift version set to launch in September, Kia is determined to maintain its edge in the market. And let's not forget the Seltos and Sonet facelifts, also set to make an appearance this year.
The Kia Carens is getting a facelift later this year, with refreshed front and rear designs and possible updates to its technology and interior. This popular model is set to maintain its sporty profile and competitive edge, while potentially adding a new touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, and advanced ADAS features.
As more drivers demand cutting-edge safety technology, it's likely that the Carens facelift will include enhanced ADAS capabilities. But despite these upgrades, the powertrain options will remain the same, with a choice of petrol and diesel engines paired with manual or automatic transmissions.
All of these updates are expected to increase the price of the Carens, which currently starts at Rs 10.45 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.95 lakh, but Kia is confident that the facelifted version will be well worth the investment.
Kia has filled the gap between Luxury and Luxury Plus trims of Carens with a new variant - Luxury (O). The variant is available in automatic transmission only, with 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel motors. The new variant boasts additional features, including sunroof, ambient lighting, crystal-cut alloy wheels ,USB type-C charging ports, and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment. However, the Luxury (O) variant will miss out on features like paddle shifters, premium Bose sound system, and ventilated front seats. With a price range of Rs 16.99 lakh to Rs 17.70 lakh, ex-sh, this 7-seater variant offers a perfect blend of luxury and affordability.
