Maruti, Honda, Tata, Citroen and some other brands are all set to launch their cars on the coming weeks.
At least seven big car launches across segments will take place in the coming weeks. In the country, bookings for the revised Toyota Innova Crysta, Citroen e-C3 electric hatchback, Honda City facelift, and updated Tata Harrier and Safari have already begun.
The new-generation Hyundai Verna and Brezza CNG are also set to reach the road shortly. Here are some major specifications for the aforementioned models.
The redesigned Toyota Innova Crysta will be available solely with the 2.4L diesel engine, according to the Japanese carmaker. The model line will be available in four grades: G, GX, VX, and ZX.
The front end of the MPV will get a freshly designed grille, a slightly revised bumper, and a fog lamp assembly with chrome surrounds. The new Innova Crysta will include a TFT MID, an 8-inch Smart Playcast touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connection, leather seats in two color choices, an 8-way power adjustable driver seat, a seat back table, ambient lighting, 7 airbags, and other features.
The Citroen e-C3, the French automaker's first electric vehicle, may be reserved for Rs 25,000. It will be offered in two configurations, Live and Fee, both of which have a 29.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The configuration produces 57PS of peak power and 143Nm of torque.
Citroen says that the e-hatchback can go 320 kilometers on a single charge. It has a peak speed of 107kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 6.8 seconds.
The e-C3 is compatible with both the conventional home charger and the DC fast charger. The electric car's overall length, breadth, and height are 3,981mm, 1,733mm, and 1604mm, respectively.
Honda Cars India will offer the City sedan a slight upgrade in the first week of March 2023. The sedan will be offered with the same 121bhp, 1.5L petrol and 126bhp, 1.5L Atkinson Cycle powertrains as the hatchback.
Both motors will be compliant with the future RDE regulations. There will be no diesel engines available. To be clear, the hybrid arrangement is now only available in the top-tier form, which is much more expensive than petrol vehicles.
As a result, the business will launch new entry-level models with petrol-hybrid powertrains. Aside from that, the upcoming 2023 Honda City facelift may receive new exterior colours.
The next-generation Hyundai Verna is undoubtedly one of the year's most anticipated new vehicle releases. On March 21, 2023, the automaker will publish its prices. Interested purchasers can reserve it for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000.
The 2017 Verna will be offered in four trim levels: EX, S, SX, and SX (O), as well as two engine options: a 1.5L 4-cylinder normally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L turbo GDi petrol. Buyers will receive seven monotone color selections and two dual-tone color options.
ADAS will be a significant safety upgrade (advanced driver assistance system). Its design and aesthetics will also undergo significant alterations.
Reservations for the revamped Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs are now available, with both vehicles anticipated to be on sale in March 2023. The automaker has announced that the ADAS technology would be available on the Harrier and Safari in 2023.
Lane departure warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, and lane change alert will be included in the suite.
A 360-degree camera, a new 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster will be added to both SUVs. The information device may receive wireless smartphone connectivity as well as voice instructions in six languages.
The same 170bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel engine will power the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari, fulfilling BS6 II pollution standards. Price increases of Rs 1 lakh are projected.
Maruti Suzuki will release a CNG version of its best-selling Brezza SUV in the coming weeks.
The 1.5L K15C petrol engine will be combined with a factory-fitted CNG kit in the vehicle. It will produce 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque, making it marginally less powerful and torquey than a normal gasoline engine.
The Maruti Brezza CNG is said to have a fuel economy of 27km/kg. The CNG kit option might be available on all Brezza versions.
