Mahindra has launched the XUV300 TurboSport in India. The XUV300 TubroSport price range in India starts from Rs. 10.35 Lakh to Rs. 12.90 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra has introduced the new XUV300 TurboSport in India, with prices ranging from Rs 10.35 lakh to Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new 1.2-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol engine, which replaces the existing 1.2 turbo-petrol and 1.5 diesel engines, is the highest-spec powertrain available with the XUV300. This new engine is available on the XUV300's higher three trim levels - W6, W8, and W8 (O).
The XUV300 TurboSport is powered by a 130hp, 230Nm (250Nm with overboost function) 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The new engine, which replaces the existing 1.2-litre turbo-petrol MPFI engine, has a 250bar GDI (gasoline direct injection) fuel system that improves performance and fuel efficiency. The XUV300 TurboSport has a 0-60kph sprint time of 5 seconds, according to Mahindra.
The XUV300 also gets a mild-hybrid start-stop system to improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions, with Mahindra claiming a fuel economy of 18.2kpl for this new engine.
This new engine generates 20hp and 30Nm more torque than the previous 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, making the XUV300 the most powerful compact SUV in its class. Both turbo-petrol engines, as well as the 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, will coexist.
Design-wise, the front fascia receives a new gloss black grille with red inlays, and the chrome components on the front bumper's central air intake have been covered in black. It also receives the new Twin Peaks emblem for Mahindra and has blacked-out wing mirrors.
Additionally, Mahindra is providing four additional color choices, including a dual-tone bronze with a black roof, a white with a black roof, a black with a white roof, and a bronze option with a monotone finish.
Instead of the dual-tone black and beige interior motif, which contrasts with red stitching for the upholstery and silver accents on the dashboard and steering wheel, there is now an all-black interior theme.
The XUV300's top-spec W8(O) versions continue to include an electric sunroof, projector headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto headlamps and wipers, and leatherette upholstery. Six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, and ESP with hill start aid are among the safety features.
Updated versions of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Tata Nexon are competitors of the XUV300. Starting on October 10, 2022, customers in India will be able to test drive, reserve, and receive new XUV300 T-GDi TurboSport vehicles.
