The Maruti Suzuki cars will see a price hike of up to 4% from April 2025. The carmaker stated that the increased cost of input and operation has led to an increase in the pricing of their vehicles

While March is known for attractive discount offers and benefits for car buyers, the start of April hints at the increased pricing for models available for sale in the Indian market. Following the same trend, several automobile manufacturers have announced price hikes for their offerings from April. All these brands stated the primary reasons for rising input costs and ongoing innovation, requiring customers to pay more for new cars in India. Let's look at the cost of your favorite brand's car for the upcoming financial year.

Major Car Manufacturers Announces Price Hike from April, Including Suzuki, Tata, & Mahindra

Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki is one of the major carmakers in India, with around 42% of the market share in the passenger vehicle segment. It's the first carmaker that announced a recent price hike on models offered under its portfolio. The Maruti Suzuki cars will see a price hike of up to 4% from April 2025. The carmaker stated that the increased cost of input and operation has led to an increase in the pricing of their vehicles. However, the price hike will depend on the model and variant. The current lineup of Suzuki includes the Alto K10, Wagon R, Grand Vitara, Brezza, Baleno, and Invicto.

Tata Motors

Tata has announced the second price hike for its passenger vehicle lineups since the start of this year. However, the Indian automobile brand hasn't disclosed the percentage of the price hike, but previously, it increased the showroom price for its vehicles by up to 3%. The new prices will apply to all 13 models available under the brand's portfolio, including Nexon, Tiago, Curvv EV, and Altroz.

Mahindra

Mahindra is another popular brand in the Indian passenger vehicle market, and it has also announced a price hike for its vehicles. From April 2025, all Mahindra SUVs, including the Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, and XUV 700, will see a price hike of up to 3%.

Kia

Giving similar reasons to Tata and Maruti, Kia also announced a price hike of up to 3% on all Kia cars in India. Kia sells seven models, including Kia Syros, Sonet, Seltos, and EV6. All these models are confirmed to see up to 3% increased pricing from April this year. However, the price increase will vary from the model and variant buyers select.

Hyundai

Hyundai has also announced a price increase for its vehicles, including the recently launched Hyundai Creta Electric. The Korean automobile manufacturer reported increased input costs, growing operational expenses, and expensive raw materials for the increased price of its vehicles. From April this year, all 14 Hyundai cars in India, including Creta, Exter, Grand i10 Nios, and Ioniq 5, will see a price hike of up to 3%.

Honda

While Honda skipped the first round of price increases for its vehicles in January 2025, it has now announced an increase in showroom prices. However, the exact price hike percentage is unclear, but the available Honda cars like Amaze, City, and City Hybrid showroom prices will be increased.

Renault

Renault, the French automobile manufacturer, has revealed a price hike of up to 2% for its vehicles for sale in India. Notably, Renault has not introduced a price increase for its models since 2023, but after rising operational and input costs, the automaker has announced this recent price hike. Renault has Kwid, Kiger, and Triber in India, offering up to 2% market share in India's passenger vehicle market.

BMW

The luxury car manufacturer BMW has also reported a price hike of up to 3% on its vehicles. The brand hasn't specified how expensive its luxury cars will become, but the price hike will impact various models, including MINI. In India, BMW sells several flagship cars like the BMW X3, X7, X1 LWB, Mini Cooper S, and M5.
