Should you Buy Maruti Fronx?

The decision to buy the Maruti Suzuki Fronx would depend on the buyer's preferences and requirements. The Fronx is available in five trims with distinct features and equipment levels, and buyers can choose from seven colours, including dual-tone options.

One factor to consider is the price. The base Sigma trim costs Rs 7.47 lakh, which is Rs 86,000 more than the Baleno, while the top-end Alpha trim is priced at Rs 13.14 lakh.

However, the Fronx Alpha trim comes with a turbo-petrol engine, which is not available in any other Maruti Suzuki car currently on sale.

The 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine produces an impressive 100hp and 147Nm of torque and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The exterior design of the Fronx is stylish, with design elements borrowed from the Baleno hatchback and the Grand Vitara SUV. The Fronx is loaded with features such as faux skid plates, chrome detailing, 17-inch multi-spoke alloys, and a rising waistline and sloping roofline.

The interior of the Fronx is largely reminiscent of the Baleno hatchback, with the most striking feature being the large 9-inch touchscreen display. The top-spec Alpha variant of the Fronx comes equipped with several features that enhance the driving experience, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless charging, heads-up display, 360-degree camera, connected car technology, and six airbags.

In the highly competitive compact SUV segment, the Fronx faces some stiff competition from popular models like the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

However, with its unique design, powerful engine options, and impressive features, the Fronx is well-poised to take on the competition and carve out a niche for itself in this crowded market.

Therefore, if the buyer is looking for a stylish and unique crossover with a turbo-petrol engine loaded with features, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx can be a good option. However, if the buyer is price-sensitive and does not require a turbo-petrol engine, there are other options available in the market.
