Explore their exterior design, interior features, powertrain options, and platforms to find out which one suits your preferences and requirements better.
Maruti Suzuki has recently launched its flagship MPV, the Invicto, while Toyota introduces its all-new model, the Innova Hycross. Both vehicles aim to capture the market with their impressive features, design elements, and advanced technology. This comparison will evaluate the two MPVs in terms of exterior and interior design, features, powertrain, and platform to determine which one offers a better overall package.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto shares design cues with the Hycross, featuring a slightly different grille, distinct headlights with Nexa's three-block signature daytime running lamps, and a unique front bumper with faux skid plates. However, the vehicles remain visually similar, with the only notable difference being the design of the alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the Toyota Innova Hycross presents a muscular SUV stance with a glamorous yet robust front grille and a raised bonnet line. Its design signifies a new era for the Innova range.
Both the Invicto and Hycross share interior similarities, including a choice between seven- and eight-seat configurations. The Invicto boasts an all-black interior with Champagne Gold accents, while the Hycross features black and brown interiors with silver accents. The Invicto offers a boot space of 239 litres, expandable up to 690 litres with the third row folded down.
In terms of features, the Invicto impresses with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, and more than 50 Suzuki Connect feature.
The Hycross comes equipped with a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, generously sized AC vents, and a digital driver's display. Additional features expected in the Hycross include captain seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, seat ventilation, and a 360-degree camera.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto features a strong-hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine with an electric motor. This hybrid configuration delivers a total output of 184hp, coupled with an e-CVT automatic transmission. The Invicto can also operate in electric-only mode and boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.24kpl.
The Toyota Innova Hycross, based on Toyota's TNGA-C 'High' platform, is powered by the latest 2.0L TNGA petrol engine combined with a 5th Generation of Self-charging Hybrid Electric Technology. Detailed specifications regarding power output and fuel efficiency are not provided in the given information.
Both the Maruti Suzuki Invicto and Toyota Innova Hycross offer compelling options in the MPV segment. The Invicto stands out with its strong-hybrid powertrain, advanced features, and distinct design elements. On the other hand, the Innova Hycross presents a new era for the Innova range with its monocoque platform, impressive exterior design, and spacious interior.
Without complete information on the powertrain performance and efficiency of the Hycross, it is difficult to determine which MPV is better overall. Potential buyers should consider their specific requirements, preferences, and budget when making a decision between the Maruti Suzuki
