Maruti Suzuki Announces Price Hike on Bestselling Cars: Swift, Dzire, Celerio, and More

Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of some of its models from April 2023. The price hike affects six models: Swift, Celerio, WagonR, Dzire, Ciaz and XL6. The price hike ranges from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 15,000 depending on the model and variant. The company has cited inflation and regulatory requirements as the reasons for the price hike. Here are the new prices of the six models after the price hike.

XL6

The three-row MPV has received a uniform price hike of Rs. 15,000 across all variants. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission options. It also has a CNG variant in the Zeta model. The new starting price of the XL6 is Rs. 11.56 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ciaz

The compact sedan has received a price hike of up to Rs. 11,000 across its variants. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission options. The new starting price of the Ciaz is Rs. 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom).

Swift

The popular hatchback has received a price hike of Rs. 5,000 across all variants. It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission options. The new starting price of the Swift is Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Dzire

The subcompact sedan has received a price hike of up to Rs. 7,000 across its variants. It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission options. The new starting price of the Dzire is Rs. 6.51 lakh (ex-showroom).

WagonR

The best-selling hatchback has received a minimal price hike of Rs. 1,500 across all variants. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol or petrol-CNG engine with manual or automatic transmission options. The new starting price of the WagonR is Rs. 5.56 lakh (ex-showroom).

Celerio

The hatchback has also received a minimal price hike of Rs. 1,500 across all variants. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission options. The new starting price of the Celerio is Rs. 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
