Maruti Suzuki's 2024 lineup promises innovation with the new Swift, electric eVX SUV, and refreshed Dzire, shaping a dynamic automotive future.
Maruti Suzuki made waves in the Indian automotive market in 2023 with the launch of several exciting cars, including the Baleno-based Fronx crossover, the highly anticipated Jimny SUV, and the Invicto premium MPV. With a keen focus on the expanding utility vehicle market in India, the carmaker is set to maintain its momentum in 2024 with the introduction of new and innovative cars.
At the Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki teased the enthusiasts and buyers with the eVX electric SUV concept, signaling their entry into the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) segment. Suzuki later unveiled an updated version of the concept at the Japan Mobility Show, hinting at the production version to debut in 2024. This electric SUV is assured to be Maruti Suzuki's first push into the EV market, competing with rivals like Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
Built on the success of its predecessors, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the new generation Swift hatchback in 2024. Unveiled at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, the fourth-generation Swift boasts of subtle yet impactful design updates and an array of features. With a focus on safety, the new Swift incorporates a 360-degree camera and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), promising a better performance and fuel efficiency. The hatchback will be equipped with Suzuki's new generation Z-series engine, offering an improved torque at lower speed.
Dzire, Maruti Suzuki's compact sedan based on the Swift hatchback, is expected to receive an update coinciding with the launch of the new generation Swift in India. Despite the declining trend in the sedan sales, the Dzire has maintained its appeal, particularly in the taxi segment. The anticipated update may bring a refreshed design, enhanced features, and possibly a new engine, ensuring continued relevance in the competitive compact sedan market.
