MG Hector SUV price is inflated by up to Rs 61,000 (up to Rs 76,000 on Hector Plus). The carmaker also reintroduced its Hector Shine with a new style and added features.
MG Motor India increased the ex-showroom prices for its Hector SUV range. The new price hikes range from Rs 27,000 to Rs 61,000, up to 71,000 on the MG Hector Plus series. MG also launched the new Shine to expand Hector's line-up. The new MG Shine sits above compared to existing models and is available in all offered powertrain options. It's the first price hike in the Hector segment after the launch of the facelifted model in January 2023.
From the above list, it's clear that the starting price of Style 1.5-liter petrol MT has spiked by Rs 27,000, while all petrol variants have gone up by Rs 36,000. On the other hand, the carmaker has raised the ex-showroom prices for all diesel variants by Rs 61,000.
MG has reintroduced Hector Shine with a new style and more features. This offering will fill the gap between Style and Smart trims. Further, the car will offer more comfortable rides as it gets electronic parking brakes (in the CVT variant), LED headlamps, fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This MG car also packs a single-pane sunroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and cruise control.
There are no powertrain updates in Hector's line-up. All variants have existing powertrain options and an either 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. The petrol variants produce 143 bhp of power output and 250 Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the diesel variants come with 170 bhp of power output and 350 Nm of peak torque and are offered with only a manual gearbox.
MG Motor India has also increased prices for its six and seven-seater SUV line-up. The price hike ranges from Rs 36,000 to Rs 76,000 on these variants. Although, the company hasn't made any upgrades in its Plus series, and all the offerings are available with existing powertrains. Look at the new MG Hector Plus line-up price list for a brief overview.
