Ticket sales for the highly anticipated MotoGP Indian Grand Prix have commenced, with the first ticket being presented to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This marks the first time the premier class championship will be held in India, taking place from September 22-24, 2023 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The event, officially known as the Grand Prix of Bharat, is a significant moment for both MotoGP fans and the Indian motorsports industry, as it is the first major global motorsport event to be hosted in the country in over a decade.
The arrival of MotoGP in India signifies a major milestone, generating excitement among fans of the championship as well as within the Indian motorsports community. The event will witness the participation of nearly all major two-wheeler manufacturers, many of whom already have a strong presence in India.
Notable manufacturers such as Honda, Aprilia, KTM, Yamaha, and Ducati will be among the participants. In addition to MotoGP, the Bharat GP will also host MotoE, Moto2, and Moto3 races, making it the first venue outside of Europe to feature a MotoE race.
Fairstreet Sports, the organizers of Bharat GP in India, took to social media to announce the presentation of the first ticket to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They expressed their deep honour in offering the inaugural ticket to such a respected leader who has played a crucial role in promoting and supporting sporting events in the state.
The organizers acknowledged the Chief Minister's unwavering belief in the value of sports and credited his efforts for the remarkable growth of the sports industry in Uttar Pradesh. They further emphasized that his leadership represents a new wave that showcases India's vibrant culture and hospitality to the world.
Pre-registered users have the exclusive opportunity to book their tickets starting from June 23, 2023, as part of an early bird promotion. General ticket sales for the Bharat GP will commence from June 24 onwards. Ticket prices start from ₹800 and may vary depending on the chosen locations across the track.
