Hyundai Motor Company, the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer based out of Seoul, has always optimistically placed their bets high on the Indian market ever since they entered the country in the 1990s. The company’s Indian subsidiary has had a successful run in the domestic market with the most recent record sales shattering car - the Hyundai Creta mid-sized SUV. Following the Creta was the introduction of its bigger sibling of sorts - the Alcazar 7-seater SUV.
Hyundai India recently launched a new base model of the Alcazar SUV in India priced at Rs 15.89 lakhs (ex-showroom). The latest Prestige Executive SUV trim is about Rs 55,000 cheaper than the previous Alcazar base variant.

The new base model of the Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive variant is now included in the Hyundai portfolio sold in India apart from the existing 6 Alcazar variants currently available, including Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O).
Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive Features and Specifications: The new Alcazar Prestige variant features an 8 inch touch information display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity, and it replaces the previous 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from that, the new Prestige Executive trim is equipped with only one microphone, while the Prestige trim comes fitted with two microphones.
Other Hyundai equipment features on the new Alcazar SUV Prestige Executive base variant includes a sound system with four loudspeakers, two tweeters and voice enabled commands. Besides the larger touchscreen system, this newest Alcazar car losses out on telematics capabilities and a galvanized IRVM. However the SUV now features a new manually adjustable IRVM which can be used as per the driver's choice. And also, the Prestige Executive variant has no anti-theft alarm system and chrome door handles.
In terms of the Hyundai mechanical aspect, the new Alcazar Prestige Executive variant SUV powertrain derives power from a 2 litre MPi engine that produces 158 BHP of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 191 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. The Hyundai Alcazar SUV engine is tuned to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter.
