A test mule of the Staria Facelift was spotted in the Austrian Alps, hinting Hyundai has started testing its updated MPV. The prototype can be seen as semi-camouflaged, covering most exterior design elements, but a few parts were still visible.
Hyundai's flagship family MPV, the Staria, is ready to receive a major midlife update with the expected global debut in late 2025 or early 2026. The Hyundai Staria facelift will likely be first introduced in South Korea and then in global markets, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. While the Staria MPV was presented at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, Hyundai has no plans to launch this premium family car in India.
A test mule of the Staria Facelift was spotted in the Austrian Alps, hinting Hyundai has started testing its updated MPV. The prototype can be seen as semi-camouflaged, covering most exterior design elements, but a few parts were still visible. The updated Staria will feature the brand's new design language and retain its upright stance.
Based on spy images, the new Staria gets a refreshed front fascia with an updated grille in a new pattern and front bumper. It also features a horizontally fitted LED light bar similar to its predecessors. However, the headlamps have new graphics but no changes in terms of the design dimensions of the vehicle. The popular Hyundai MPV will continue to measure 5,253 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, 1,990 mm in height, and 3,273 mm in wheelbase.

While there is no information about the interior updates in the upcoming Hyundai Staria facelift, the MPV is expected to feature the same interior theme and features as previous versions, but with some tweaks. For instance, it can get an updated infotainment system and improved materials across the cabin. The current version of Staria comes mated with an 8-inch touch display, fully automated climate control, heated and ventilated seats, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. The MPV also gets leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, and LED ambient lighting.
The engine configuration will also be retained, so the new Saria will keep getting power from a 2.2-liter diesel, a 3.5-liter V6 petrol, and hybrid engine options. However, Hyundai may tune these engine options for better fuel-efficient performance.
