Get ready for an electrifying adventure with the Land Rover Range Rover EV, set to launch in 2025. Bookings for this sustainable luxury SUV will begin in 2023.
Jaguar Land Rover has recently announced its plans for the launch of a new electric vehicle - the Range Rover EV. The luxury SUV is set to launch in 2025 but the company will begin accepting bookings for the model as early as 2023.
The new Range Rover EV will be built at the Halewood plant of automaker. The company is currently transforming the facility into an all-electric manufacturing plant under its Reimagine strategy. This strategy envisages an $18.6 billion investment in the brand's electrification plan, which includes offering an all-electric variant for each model in its lineup by 2030.
The Range Rover EV is set to play a vital role in the brand's electrification strategy, with the new model set to showcase the brand's latest advancements in electric powertrain technology. It is expected to feature a long driving range and offer quick charging times, ensuring that customers are able to travel without compromising on performance or convenience.
Despite the move towards electric power, the Range Rover EV will continue to use the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) that has underpinned the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. This platform is designed to be flexible, allowing it to be used for both conventional and electric powertrains, thus saving costs and improving efficiency for the brand.
Jaguar Land Rover is one of the leading luxury car brands in the world and has a reputation for producing high-quality, performance-oriented vehicles. With the announcement of the Range Rover EV, the company is once again demonstrating its commitment to innovation and sustainability, while still offering its customers the premium experience they have come to expect from the brand.
Jaguar Land Rover is ramping up its commitment to electrification with the announcement of two new platforms designed to accommodate a range of powertrain options. The new platform, known as Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA), will allow the company to build vehicles with internal combustion engines, hybrid power mills, and batteries, providing flexibility in producing cars for the requirements of various markets worldwide.
Both Land Rover and Jaguar, which are sister brands under the JLR umbrella, are aggressively pursuing electrification plans. Jaguar, in particular, plans to launch three new electric vehicles, with the first scheduled to arrive in 2025 as a four-door GT.
The forthcoming EV will be built on the new JEA platform, which Jaguar will launch in 2025. The automaker claims that this platform will offer a range of up to 700 km on a single charge, which would put it in line with the longest-range EVs currently available. Jaguar has also stated that this new EV will have more power output than any previous model from the brand.
These moves by Jaguar Land Rover underscore the company's commitment to electrification and sustainability, as it seeks to establish itself as a leader in the rapidly evolving automotive industry. By offering a range of powertrain options and investing in advanced new platforms, JLR is positioning itself to meet the needs of consumers in diverse markets around the world, while also promoting a more sustainable future for the automotive industry as a whole.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced its ambitious Reimagine strategy, which aims to transform the company into a house of brands by rebranding Jaguar Land Rover as simply JLR. The plan involves creating distinct identities for its major vehicle lines, including Jaguar, Range Rover, Defender and Discovery, which will be known as individual brands.
JLR's CEO, Adrian Mardell, has spoken out about the Reimagine strategy, stating that the investment earmarked for this plan will enable the company to deliver a modern luxury electric future, developing new skills and reaffirming its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2039.
The Reimagine strategy is a significant move for the brand and one that highlights its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The focus on electric powertrains is in line with JLR's broader goal of transitioning to a more sustainable future, and the decision to rebrand and create individual brands is an indication that the company is committed to adapting to changing consumer demands and preferences.
JLR is already well-known for producing high-quality, performance-oriented vehicles, and the Reimagine strategy is set to take this reputation to the next level. By investing in new skills and technologies, JLR is positioning itself as a leader in the rapidly-evolving automotive industry, one that is embracing the challenges of the future with a bold and forward-thinking approach.
