Nissan Re-launches CBU Business with the All-New Nissan X-TRAIL in India

Nissan Motor India (NMIPL) has announced the re-launch of its CBU business with the introduction of the All-New Nissan X-TRAIL in India, setting a new benchmark for premium urban SUVs. The 4th generation X-TRAIL, exclusively made in Japan, caters to customers seeking a refined driving experience, Japanese craftsmanship, and high versatility in space utilization. This relaunch builds on Nissan's two-decade-strong SUV DNA and marks a significant milestone in Nissan’s customer-first product strategy in India.

Innovative Technology and Performance

The All-New X-TRAIL features a 1.5L Petrol Variable Compression-Turbo engine, mated to Nissan’s ALiS Mild Hybrid 2WD engine with a 3rd Gen XTRONIC CVT powertrain, producing 163ps and 300Nm of torque.

This globally patented VC-Turbo engine offers power and fuel efficiency on demand by varying the compression ratio from 8:1 to 14:1. This technology ensures a balance of performance and fuel economy, with excellent NVH levels.

The 3rd generation XTRONIC CVT transmission offers improved fuel economy and acceleration, featuring a twin oil pump system with a new electrical oil pump and D-Step Logic Control for smooth, constant acceleration.

ALiS Mild Hybrid Technology

The 12V ALiS (Advanced Lithium-ion battery System) mild hybrid system provides torque assist, extended idle stop, quick restart, and coasting stop, enhancing fuel economy and reducing CO2 output. The energy recovered during deceleration is stored in the Lithium-ion battery and used for Idling Stop, Coasting Stop, and Torque Assist, offering additional torque for up to 20 seconds during acceleration.

Modern, Muscular Styling

The X-TRAIL’s exterior features signature Nissan design elements such as the floating roof and V-motion grille, with striking headlights and muscular wheel arches. The new X-TRAIL comes with R20 diamond-cut alloy wheels and a refined C-pillar design. Aerodynamic features include "3D" tyre deflectors, an active grille shutter, special A-pillar shaping, underbody covers, and a unique ‘air curtain’ for optimal airflow.

Premium Interior Ambience

It includes ergonomic switchgear, intuitive controls, a floating centre console with a 15w wireless charge pad, and ample storage space. The 7-seat layout, 40/20/40 2nd row seat split option, and panoramic sunroof enhance flexibility and versatility.
