On November 2022, around 3,22,070 passenger automobiles were sold in the Indian market. When compared to November of last year, sales climbed by more than 31%, while the industry declined by 4.2% when compared to October of 2022. It also surpassed 3 lakh dispatches for the ninth month of this fiscal year. November 2022 was also the sixth month in a row that despatches exceeded 3 lakh units.

November is a slow month for the car sector because there are no holidays, and most consumers wait until December to take advantage of year-end deals. To avoid year-change complications, there are no new model debuts in November. However, the Industry was able to report significant growth over the same period last year due to increased production levels and pending backorders. However, despatches fell by 4.2% when compared to October of last year.

Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors India, Tata Motors, and MG Motor India all had a strong month in November 2022. All of the aforementioned organizations experienced solid development in the domestic market. Here are the major figures for November 2022 car sales.

November 2022 Maruti Sales

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, increased its sales by 14.3 percent to 1.59 lakh units. The company sold 91.095 units of micro and tiny automobiles and 32,563 units of UVs (utility vehicles). Exports fell 7.7 percent (to 19,738 units) in comparison to the same month last year.

November 2022 Hyundai Sales

Hyundai Motor India reported that it sold 48,003 vehicles in April, up from 37,001 in the same month the previous year. It increased by 29.7 percent year over year. Its exports amounted to 16,001 units. That implies the South Korean automaker sold 64,004 units in total.

November 2022 Tata Sales

Tata Motors sold 75,478 units in total, compared to 62,192 units in the same period in 2021. Sales increased by 21.36 percent year on year for the automaker. Tata sold 73,467 units in the domestic market, compared to 58,073 units in November 2021. It increased by 27% year over year. It should be noted that the company sold 11,896 units in the MH and ICV segments and 46,037 units in the PV segment. Tata's sales in the PV segment increased by 55% year on year.

November 2022 Mahindra Sales

Mahindra & Mahindra passenger car sales surged by 56% to 30,392 units, while domestic tractor sales increased by 12% to 29,180 units. The company exported 1,348 tractors, 15% fewer than in the same month the previous year.

November 2022 MG Sales

MG Motor India reported sales of 4,079 units in August, up from 2,481 units in the same month last year. Its revenues increased by 64.4 percent year on year. The new MG Hector will be unveiled in December and will go on sale in January 2023, according to the British automaker.
