Check Out the new revealed price of Mahindra XUV400. Will it be a better deal than Tata Nexon Ev.
Finally, Mahindra and Mahindra have disclosed the price range for the Mahindra XUV400, which starts at Rs. 15.99 Lakhs and rises to Rs. 18.99 Lakhs.
However, the initial pricing is only available for the first 5,000 reservations, and they hope to sell up to 20,000 units.
Based on the XUV300, the Mahindra XUV400 is an all-electric SUV. The XUV400 is longer than four metres, in contrast to the small SUV with an ICE engine.
It has a front-mounted electric motor that produces 150 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of peak torque, and Mahindra claims that it has a range of 456 kilometres on a single charge using the Indian Driving Cycle. It is powered by a 39.4 kWh battery pack. In January 2023, the electric SUV's costs will be released.
The XUV400 raises Mahindra's renowned performance even more. Experience best-in-class acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, thanks to the 310 Nm of best-in-class torque.
All of this power and a single charge travel up to 456 kilometres. Now that is unprecedented.
Mahindra XUV400 EV variants and features
Three variations of the XUV400 are available from Mahindra: EC (3.3kW), EC (7.2kW), and EL (7.2kW). The top-spec model has over-the-air (OTA) upgrades for connected car technologies, a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Mahindra's AdrenoX software, and a single-pane sunroof.
It comes with up to six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, an IP67 battery pack certification, and ISOFIX anchorages as a safety package.
Mahindra XUV400 EV Competitors
The Tata Nexon EV, which costs between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 19.84 lakh, competes with the XUV400. Additionally, it will face competition from the MG ZS EV, whose costs range from Rs 22.98 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh.
It will also compete with the Rs. 23.84 lakh Hyundai Kona Electric.
Is it Better than Tata Nexon EV?
In terms of size, the XUV400 is a larger product because it was not cut to fulfil the sub-4m requirement. It maintains the SsangYong Tivoli's dimensions as its inspiration.
It is 4.2m long, as well as broader, and higher, and has a 2,600mm longer wheelbase. But the Nexon EV boot is similar to the XUV400 due to its shorter wheelbase.
In terms of powertrains, even Nexon EV Max cannot match the 150 PS and 310 Nm output of the XUV400. While the Nexon EV Max outperforms it with a little greater battery size.
Nexon EV Max claims a range of 437 km, whilst XUV400 claims a range of 456 km on a single charge. The XUV400 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds—a fraction of a second quicker than the Nexon EV Max.
Price and Features
The one area where Mahindra might have improved the XUV400 was in its features. Even claiming that a Tata product has more features than a contemporary Mahindra feels a little strange.
We say this because Mahindra has a history of packing their cars full of practical amenities ever since the XUV500 era.
But when all the features are combined, Nexon EV Max has more. In fact, certain XUV300 amenities, such as dual-zone climate control, appear to have been reduced in the XUV400.
In addition to having front ventilated seats and rear AC vents, the Nexon EV Max also has an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, an auto-dimming IRVM, an electronic parking brake, a digital circular display built inside the gear selector, and a few other features. These are all things the XUV400 is lacking.
