Get ready for the highly anticipated Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, with a powerful 650cc engine and stylish design.
The Royal Enfield Shotgun is a highly anticipated motorcycle model with a 650cc engine. It has been spied testing ahead of its launch, creating excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts. The Shotgun is expected to be a powerful and stylish addition to the Royal Enfield lineup.
Royal Enfield has been expanding its 650cc lineup, with the introduction of the Super Meteor 650, an updated Interceptor 650, and 650 GT earlier this year.
Now, the company appears to be adding to this range with the upcoming release of the Shotgun 650. While there were numerous sightings of test models in 2022, these have become less frequent.
However, a close-to-final version of the Shotgun 650 was recently seen being tested on the road. This could suggest that the launch of the new model is imminent.
The test vehicle seen on the road recently, which is close to the final production model, closely resembles the original concept, which is a positive aspect.
Royal Enfield shotgun: Features and details
The Royal Enfield motorcycle has a strong, muscular appearance throughout and shares many similarities with the recently launched Super Meteor. It is expected that the front USD forks, rear twin shocks, headlights, instrument cluster, and most other components will remain the same.
Due to its distinct characteristics, there will be noticeable differences between the Shotgun 650 and other Royal Enfield models. Although the headlights may be similar, the Shotgun 650 has a unique headlight housing made of machined aluminium, like the one on the Scram 411.
The fuel tank and rear section are also different from other models. While the tail light housings may resemble those of the Super Meteor, the turn indicators on the Shotgun 650 test vehicles are located closer to the tail light.
Engine details
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will retain the same 648cc air-cooled parallel-twin engine that generates 47 horsepower and 52 Newton-meters of torque. However, there may be a slight variation in the tune of the engine to better suit the characteristics of the upcoming 650cc Shotgun. The bike will have a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch for transmission duties. Additional features may include a USB port for charging mobile devices, as well as Bluetooth connectivity and GPS for turn-by-turn navigation as standard equipment. .
Brakes and suspension
The rider position on the Shotgun 650 appears to be more comfortable and relaxed, which creates a different rider triangle compared to other models. The test version of the bike is equipped with alloy wheels, rather than the 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels seen on the Super Meteor. It is expected that Royal Enfield will offer a single-seat option for the Shotgun 650 when it is officially launched.
Price details
The expected price of the Royal Enfield 650cc Shotgun is around Rs. 4 lakh.
When it is launched, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will compete with other neo-retro-style motorcycles such as the Kawasaki Z650RS and the Benelli Leoncino 500, among others.
