With limited availability and advanced features like a 25.4 cm infotainment system and a five-star crash rating, this SUV is making waves in the Indian market.
Skoda Auto India has unveiled an exclusive offering for SUV enthusiasts with the launch of the limited-run Kushaq Matte edition. Priced at a premium of ₹40,000, this distinctive model showcases a range of design enhancements that are set to turn heads on the road.
The standout feature of the Kushaq Matte edition is its stunning Carbon Steel shade, presented in a captivating matte finish. Complementing this unique exterior, the model's ORVMs, door handles, and rear spoilers are adorned with an elegant Glossy Black theme. While certain elements such as the grille, trunk garnish, and window garnish retain their signature chrome elements, the overall effect is a visual masterpiece that exudes sophistication and style.
The Kushaq Matte edition is available with two engine options: the 1.0 TSI and the 1.5 TSI. The prices for the Matte edition start at ₹16.19 lakh for the 1.0 TSI variant with a six-speed manual transmission. For those seeking more power, the 1.5 TSI variant with an automatic transmission is priced at ₹19.39 lakh. It is important to note that this limited edition model is restricted to just 500 units, adding to its exclusivity.
Positioned between the Style and Monte Carlo variants of the Kushaq, the Matte edition boasts an array of high-tech features. Inside the cabin, occupants will be greeted by a generous 25.4 cm infotainment system equipped with Wireless Smartlink, offering seamless connectivity with Apple Carplay and Android Auto interfaces. Moreover, the 1.5 TSI variant proudly displays a 1.5 TSI badge at the rear, while also featuring the renowned Skoda Sound System powered by six high-performance speakers and a subwoofer.
The Kushaq, which made its debut in India in July 2021, has garnered widespread acclaim and solidified Skoda's position in the Indian market. As the first vehicle built on Skoda's MQB-AO-IN platform designed specifically for India, the SUV boasts an impressive five-star crash rating from Global NCAP. It was the first car in the country to undergo stringent crash test protocols, receiving top marks for both adult and child occupants.
With its exceptional performance and captivating design, the Kushaq has emerged as a key driver of Skoda's sales in India. The country has become Skoda's largest market outside of Europe and the third largest worldwide, thanks to the success of the Kushaq. As the model approaches its two-year milestone, Skoda remains committed to continuously improving and enhancing the car based on valuable customer feedback.
Petr Solc, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, expressed his excitement about the upcoming anniversary, stating, "(It) will soon be completing 2 successful years in the market. We have been constantly making updates and adding value to the car based on customer feedback." With the introduction of the Kushaq Matte edition, Skoda aims to further elevate the driving experience and cater to the evolving preferences of Indian customers.
