Skoda is about to launch its Made-in-India mid-size powerful compact SUV called the Kushaq. Company has also shared launch, bookings and delivery dates of the upcoming SUV through its social media platform.
Skoda Kushaq has been set to launch by the end of this month. The bookings of the new SUV along with prices will be revealed on the same date, The delivery of the new powerful, premium SUV will start in July. This information has been revealed by Mr Zac Hollis, Director – Sales and Marketing, "Skoda India".
The Kushaq will be the Skoda's new entry-level mid-size SUV offering best in class features, Platform being used in making this powerful SUV is MQB A0 IN that is heavily designed for Indian roads. The Skoda Kushaq has been launched keeping the most competitive Auto segment, that is Mid-Size SUV segment. It will be competing most affordable crossovers like Maruti S- Cross, Renault Duster and Nissan Kicks. Main competitor for Skoda Kushaq will be Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Volkswagen Taigun, because of similar pricing it might compete MG hectar, Scorpio and the Tata Gravitas. The prices of the Skoda Kushaq are might start from Rs. 11 lakhs ex-showroom and go way up to Rs. 18 lakhs ex-showroom price.
The company has shared Kushaq SUV several pictures. The pictures of the production-spec SUV reflect glimpse of premium features, stylish design details and much more.
The exterior of the Compact powerful Skoda Kushaq features a muscular design with body cladding. Front butterfly grille with the brand's signature is designed awesome along on both side by sleek looking headlamps.
At the rear, SUV features a macho-style LED taillamp. The SKODA name will be placed in between the two taillamps across the length of the boot lid. Other stylish exterior features include roof rails, scuff plates and a muscular looking alloy wheel.
Inside of Skoda Kushaq SUV features large touchscreen infotainment system and will be supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, other features included areautomatic climate control, rear ac vents, electrically adjusted sunroof, a multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, automatic adjusted seats, and large TFT display instrument cluster.
The Kushaq will be available in two petrol engine options, Car will be offering 1.0 liter TSI engine that will produce 118 PS of power along with 185 Nm of torque. car will be having 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Main aim will be to attract people who are looking for Budget Car. It produces a maximum power of 109bhp at 5600 rpm
The top-end Style variant will be having stylish dual-tone alloy wheels and will offer features like keyless entry, ventilated seats, auto rear-view mirror, an electrically adjusted sunroof, mobile pockets, powerful amplifier and a subwoofer. car will be offering 6 airbags instead of four airbags.
Kushaq will be available in three variants, namely Active, Ambition and Style. It is not yet revealed that which variant will be offered with which engine. The same will be for automatic transmissions variants.
