Discover the all-new Skoda Kylaq, a subcompact SUV with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, modern design, and advanced safety features. Bookings open December 2.
The newest SUV from the company, the Skoda Kylaq, was revealed by Skoda Auto India. This domestically produced product is expected to compete with the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Built on the same base as the Kushaq and Slavia, the Kylaq has an excellent starting price of ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it is more compact due to its sub-4-meter length restriction.
With its boxy appearance, split headlights, and low overhangs, the Skoda Kylaq exemplifies the brand's Modern-Solid design language. The front fascia is given a striking touch by a contemporary version of Skoda's iconic butterfly grille. The company's emphasis on providing comfort, efficiency, and style in a small package is reflected in this new SUV, which is intended for the Indian market.
The 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Slavia and Kushaq also powers the Skoda Kylaq, providing a well-balanced performance. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Key performance and feature highlights include:
The Skoda Kylaq's interior is roomy and cozy, with seating options including six-way motorised front seats that include ventilation. Depending on the version, customers can select between a single-tone or dual-tone interior motif.
Additional features include:
The Kylaq has a 10.1-inch central touchscreen infotainment system with wireless compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Important driving information, including as speed, tire pressure alerts, and cruise control settings, are shown on an eight-inch digital cockpit for the driver.
Safety Features
Safety is a major focus for Skoda, and the Kylaq comes equipped with 25 active and passive safety features, including:
Skoda has extensively tested the Kylaq across over 800,000 km of Indian roads to ensure it is fully suited to local driving conditions.
Bookings for the Skoda Kylaq will open on December 2, with the full price list to be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, set for January 17. Deliveries are expected to begin on January 27.
