Tata Motors Marks 5 Lakh Nexon Production Achievement in Subcompact SUV Segment.

Tata Motors Celebrates 5 Lakh Nexon Units Produced in Subcompact SUV Category

Tata Motors, one of India’s leading carmakers, has achieved a new milestone as it produces its 5,00,000th Tata Nexon SUV. The Nexon, which was introduced in 2017, has been a popular compact SUV in the Indian market and has helped Tata Motors gain a strong foothold in the country’s automotive industry.

The Nexon has earned widespread praise for its design, performance, and safety features, which have helped it stand out in a highly competitive segment. It also has a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, making it one of the safest cars in its category.

The Nexon offers two engine options - a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine - that can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT transmission. The Nexon also has an electric version that delivers a range of up to 312 km on a single charge. The Nexon has been a favourite among Indian car buyers. It is a standout in its segment due to its impressive features and powertrain options, including electric versions.

It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a sunroof, cruise control, and a Harman sound system. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control ensure passenger safety.

Tata Motors, a domestic car manufacturer, is constantly innovating and launching new versions and special editions of its subcompact SUV, the Nexon, to attract and retain customers. One of its recent launches is the Nexon Dark Edition, which has a black theme for both the exterior and interior of the car.

Another launch that is in the pipeline is the Nexon Aero Edition, which will offer aesthetic upgrades such as body kits and decals to enhance the appearance of the car. The Tata Nexon has a wide range of prices depending on the fuel type and variant.

The petrol variants start from Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and go up to Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end model. The electric variants start from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and go up to Rs 16.85 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end model.

The Nexon faces stiff competition from other subcompact SUVs in the market, such as the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and Nissan Magnite.
