Car manufacturers will give Generation Change to India’s top 3 Sedans - Hyundai Verna, Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire.
It's no secret that there has been a historic shift when it comes to vehicle sales and SUVs are now outpacing Sedans. In order to revive the Sedan segment, car manufacturers will give Generation Change to India’s top 3 Sedans - Hyundai Verna, Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire.
The SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) is a large car with a powerful engine. It has a higher driving position that ensures better visibility of the ground. A Sedan , on the other hand, is a 4-Door Passenger Car in a three-box configuration with separate compartments for an engine, passengers, and cargo.
While the small cars and premium Hatchbacks are still driving volumes in the country, sales of Sedans are gradually declining.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has clearly mentioned in its study,: "A bigger, heavier vehicle provides better crash protection than a smaller, lighter one, assuming no other differences."
The SUV is a bigger car, and that makes it a safer car. Sedan is more fuel-efficient but it is not the most practical choice on a rough road with potholes and speed breakers. SUV on the other hand is an off-roading vehicle and has gained great popularity over the last few years.
When we say Generation Change it means, an “entirely new product”. Dimensions, equipment, style, powertrain and even the materials applied may change.
In automotive parlance, "New" usually refers to a Facelifted model, whilst the term "All-New" denotes an entirely New Generation with not only a design overhaul, but new underpinnings of the vehicle's like the chassis, drivetrain, steering, and suspension
The South Korean automotive giant Hyundai Motor India is gearing up to launch the new-generation of the highly popular mid-size sedan Hyundai Verna in 2023.

The buyers will also have the option of the existing petrol engine and CNG fuel option on the all-new Maruti Dzire model lineup.
Apart from the high fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions from a hybrid powertrain, customers would also benefit from Maruti’s Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) rating.
The price of the New-Gen Swift and Dzire will be costlier by Rs 1 lakh-Rs 1.50 lakh when compared to their standard petrol counterparts. Currently, the Swift and Dzire are available at Rs 5.92 lakh-Rs 8.85 lakh and Rs 6.24 lakh-Rs 9.18 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, India).
