The waiting times for both models have recently increased due to an increase in bookings.
Toyota Innova Hycross and Kia Carens have inflated demand among customers. The first one caters to the premium space, while the latter one created a good package with reasonable prices and efficient powertrains. Both models' waiting times have gotten longer recently because they are getting more bookings. The waiting times for the aforementioned MPVs are discussed below.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched the Innova Hycross last year at Rs 18.30 lakh starting price. The MVP's 2.0L, 4-cylinder Atkinson and 2.0L petrol (non-hybrid) powertrains are both based on Toyota's TNGA-C platform.
The non-hybrid variant produces 172 horsepower with 205 torque when paired to a CVT gearbox, whilst the potent hybrid arrangement produces 184 horsepower with an e-Drive transmission. You can choose the FWD (front-wheel drive) system for either of the powertrains.
The strong hybrid version claimed to provide 23.24kmpl of fuel efficiency and it has been charming more buyers than the non-hybrid version. It comes with an ex-showroom price range between Rs 18.30 lakh - 28.97 lakh. For now, the waiting period for this car is up to 18 months. The automatic version of Innova Hycross is priced between Rs 19.15 lakh – Rs 28.97 lakh.
Three engine choices were offered when the Kia Carens were first released: a 115 horsepower, 1.5 litres normally aspirated engine; a 140 horsepower, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine; and a 115 horsepower, 1.5-litre diesel engine. All models in the lineup come equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The diesel engine has an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, whilst the turbo-petrol engine comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In a few cities, the Kia Carens have a waiting period of 10 to 11 months.
Towards the end of this year, if reports are to be believed, the automaker may stop producing the Carens' diesel manual versions. The Carens are priced from Rs. 10.20 lakh to Rs. 18.45 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
