Triumph Tiger Sport 660 was launched in India at a base price of Rs. 8.95 lakh(ex-showroom). Let's go through the details of the bike and learn about the specs and colour variants the company is offering.
Triumph Tiger Sport 660 has been launched in the Indian auto market at the price of Rs. 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Although as per the company this is just an introductory price that can go up in the future.
Placed as an adventure level touring model in the company’s lineup, it was introduced in the world market last year and it will finally go on sale in India now. The booking for the new model can be initiated at a token amount of Rs. 50,000 and the deliveries are slated to open soon after the launch. The bike has gone on sale in three colour variants- Lucerne Blue and Sapphire Black, Korosi Red and Graphite and minimalist Graphite and Black option. All these colour options though are available in International markets for purchase.
This new Tiger Sport 660 is a successor of the Trident 660 which is the most affordable bike available from Triumph Motorcycles. Sporting the same mainframe as its predecessor, the rear subframe though has been modified to suit the usage as per requirements of an adventurer bike.
The engine derives its power from a 660cc triple-cylinder power train from the Trident 660. It has been rated to churn out the same 81 bhp of power and 64 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a six-speed gearbox and an optional up/down quick-shifter.
Some of the key features of this amazing looking bike include LED headlights, a modern-looking Bluetooth-ready TFT instrument console, riding modes- Road and Rain, switchable traction control and ABS. For suspension duties, the bike uses a non-adjustable 41mm USD Fork and pre-load adjustable shock with a remote preload adjuster.
It can give huge competition to touring bikes like Kawasaki Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Storm 650XT
