Explore the possibilities of where this new addition will fit into the Apache lineup, including speculations on adventure tourers, a new generation of motorcycles, and a cruiser motorcycle patent.
TVS Motor Company, renowned for its successful Apache series, has recently filed a new trademark for the Apache R TX. This move has sparked curiosity among enthusiasts and raises questions about where this new addition will fit into the lineup. Let's delve into the possibilities and speculations surrounding the Apache R TX.
The Apache series has garnered immense success for TVS, with offerings in various segments ranging from 160 cc to 310 cc. Additionally, the Apache RTR 160 also comes in a 4V version. With such a diverse lineup, it's intriguing to understand where the Apache R TX will find its place.
Previous rumors suggest that TVS is working on a naked variant of the Apache RR 310, which could potentially adopt a similar nomenclature. Speculatively named Apache RTR 310, this model is expected to cater to the naked sportbike enthusiasts.
Introducing the RTX Series:
Adventure Tourers? The "RTX" branding appears to signify a new series of motorcycles, akin to the existing "RTR" lineup. TVS currently lacks an adventure tourer in its portfolio, and considering the growing popularity of this segment, it is plausible that the RTX series might be reserved for upcoming adventure tourers. These motorcycles are versatile, capable of conquering rough terrains, long-distance rides, and daily commutes.
ADV Versions of Apache RTR 200 4V and Apache RR 310: The RTX series could potentially house adventure tourer variants of the Apache RTR 200 4V and the Apache RR 310. Notably, both these models have already proven their touring capabilities. Furthermore, with BMW Motorrad already offering the G 310 GS adventure tourer, which shares its platform with the Apache RR 310, TVS could aim to tap into this thriving segment.
Another speculation suggests that the RTX might signify the arrival of a new generation of Apache motorcycles. The Apache series has yet to receive a platform update, and this could be an opportune moment for TVS to introduce a fresh lineup featuring new chassis and engines, similar to Bajaj Auto's recent strategy with the Pulsar range.
TVS has also filed a patent for the design of a cruiser motorcycle, revealing a conventional cruiser-like appearance with distinctive features such as a circular headlamp, a tall and wide handlebar, and a broad fuel tank. The engine appears sizeable, possibly the 310 cc unit shared with BMW Motorrad motorcycles and the Apache RR 310, or potentially even larger.
As TVS Motor Company continues to expand its portfolio, the filing of the Apache R TX trademark stirs excitement and speculation. Whether it represents adventure tourers, a new generation of Apache motorcycles, or something entirely different, enthusiasts eagerly await the unveiling of this latest addition. Additionally, the patent filing for a new cruiser motorcycle showcases TVS's commitment to diversifying its product offerings, promising an exciting future for motorcycle enthusiasts.
