At the Volkswagen Annual Brand Conference, the Taigun SUV welcomed two new variants: GT Plus Sport and GT Line, boasting exterior upgrades, refined interiors, and powerful engine options. Launch imminent.
In the recently inaugurated Volkswagen Annual Brand Conference, the company unveiled two new variants of the Taigun SUV the GT Plus Sport and the GT Line. We can notice different cosmetic changes in the new variants of Taigun.
Looking at the new unveiled variants, it can be said that the GT Plus Sport and GT Line have come with some upgrades in their exterior designs. We can see smoked LED headlamps, which is no wonder, giving the vehicle a sleek and modern appearance. At the rooftop the shade of Carbon Steel Grey is what complements the sophistication of these cars. The Dark chrome accents on the door handles, GT badge on the grille, red-finished brake callipers, black-finished elements and 17-inch alloy wheels, enhance Taigun’s appeal.
Black aluminium pedals, a black headliner, and GT badging on the front headrests can be seen featured in the interior of Taigun Sport variants. The sport steering wheel with red stitching, and blacked-out grab handles, roof lamp housing, and sun visors add to the overall ambience of a convenient and comfortable travel experience.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport features a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, under the hood, delivering power of 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. On the other hand, Taigun GT Line variant comes with a 1.0-liter TSI engine, generating 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque.
Both engines come along with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with the option of an automatic transmission. The 1.0 TSI variant offers a 6-speed torque converter, while the 1.5 EVO variant comes equipped with a 7-speed DSG unit.
Volkswagen has announced plans to strengthen its network, by increasing the number of sales dealerships from 193 to 230 by the end of 2024. Moreover, Volkswagen plans to expand its service touchpoints from 142 to 150, with a presence in 25 more cities. This will bring the total to 170 cities, by the end of the year.
With the unveiling of the Taigun GT Plus Sport and GT Line variants, Volkswagen keeps on setting new boundaries of style, performance, and innovation in India. As Volkswagen is all ready to launch these exciting variants, enthusiasts and consumers alike can look forward to a new era of driving excellence on Indian roads.
