The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line looks comparatively different from the outgoing variants of Tiguan. In the front, it receives sleeker headlights, connected LED stripes, and lowered massive mess-pattern air damp with silver lip.
The new generation of Volkswagen Tiguan has been launched in India with the starting ex-showroom price of Rs 49,00,000. Positioned as Volkswagen India’s flagship SUV, the third generation of Tiguan will now be available in a single R-Line variant and limited numbers as it will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).
The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line looks comparatively different from the outgoing variants of Tiguan. In the front, it receives sleeker headlights, connected LED stripes, and lowered massive mess-pattern air damp with silver lip. To maintain its sportier stance, the automaker has added some chrome elements across the front fascia of this SUV. There are 19-inch alloy wheels as standard.
On the rear profile is a large light bar with a smoked effect and a roof spoiler on the top. The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is confirmed to be available in six color options: Cipressino Green Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Oyster Silver Metallic, and Persimmon Red Metallic.
Volkswagen has offered an all-black color scheme with blue stitching on the dashboard and sports seat. A 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system with climate control and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is configured on the center console. Additionally, it packs three-spoke steering wheels with R-Line badging and a 10.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster.
The all-new Tiguan R-Line SUV also has a panoramic sunroof, 30-color ambient lighting, tri-zone climate control, brushed stainless steel pedals, massaging front seats, wireless charging, and Level 2 ADAS. India spec R-Line also comes mated with Volkswagen’s Park Assist Plus tech, which helps drivers search for ideal parking spaces and properly park the vehicle in narrow spaces.
The sportier iteration of the Tiguan SUV is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, producing 204 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and achieve a top speed of 229 km/h.
The automaker has said the new version of the Tiguan can deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of 12.58 km/l.
Volkswagen has launched the Tiguan R-Line in India at a starting price of Rs 49,00,000, making it around 11,00,000 more expensive than the previous models, which were also unveiled as the CBU route.
The Tiguan R-Line SUV will compete in India with the BMW X1, Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Jeep Meridian, Citroen C5 Aircross, Skoda Kodiaq, and Nissan X-Trail.
