The Volkswagen Virtus has been a resounding success for the German automaker ever since it was introduced to the market in June 2022.
Volkswagen Virtus has received more than 5,000 clients in less than two months in India. The Volkswagen Virtus, which competes in the compact sedan class against the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, has been a resounding success for the German automaker since its market debut in June 2022. The Volkswagen Virtus, which is built on the same MQB-AO-IN platform as the Skoda Kushaq and the Slavia, is the second product in the company's India 2.0 plan following the Volkswagen Taigun.
“The Volkswagen Virtus is a strong product offering in the premium midsize sedan segment in India with its ‘Big by’ design and features. The acceptance and admiration given by our customers to the Virtus is overwhelming and we look forward to delighting many more customers with our best-in-class products and services", said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.
The Volkswagen Virtus has broken two records in the short time after its release: it set the first national record in Kerala for the India Book of Records and earned global recognition in Gujarat for the Asia Book of Records by being the only sedan to deliver to the most clients in a single day.
The new Volkswagen Virtus costs Rs. 11.21 lakh and is offered at 152 sales touchpoints in India (ex-showroom). Volkswagen recently announced the launch of the Virtus as part of its Omni-channel mobility solutions. The Volkswagen Subscription and Power Lease program, which gives clients a choice of preferred ownership models, is now offering the Virtus.
The Dynamic and Performance Line is where the Volkswagen Virtus is available. The 1.5l TSI EVO engine in the Performance Line is paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission to provide 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque. The Dynamic Line's 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic torque converter transmissions are paired with the 1.0l TSI engine, which produces 113 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque.
Wild Cherry Red, Carbon Steel Grey, Reflex Silver, Curcuma Yellow, Candy White, and Rising Blue are the six color options for the Volkswagen Virtus.
