Audi has unveiled the third-generation Q3 SUV, featuring a bold new design, electrified powertrains, advanced lighting, and cutting-edge tech ahead of its global debut in late 2025.
Audi has officially taken the wraps off the third-generation Q3 SUV ahead of its global sales launch in the fourth quarter of 2025. The all-new Q3 represents a notable leap in Audi’s compact SUV lineup, introducing several segment-first features, electric powertrains, and an evolved design language inspired by both its combustion-engine siblings and the latest e-tron models.
The new Q3 draws on Audi’s latest design philosophy, blending familiar SUV proportions with elements derived from the brand’s electric lineup. The front fascia features a bold, wide grille flanked by large side air intakes and split headlights, a design cue borrowed from the Q6 e-tron. The upper sections house the now-customisable LED daytime running lights, while the main headlamp units sit slightly lower.
At the rear, the Q3 mirrors the styling of the latest A6 and e-tron models, incorporating split tail lamps with an integrated lightbar. A highlight here is the illuminated Audi logo, flanked by main brake lights under the rear windscreen. OLED taillights are also available with a light bar as an option, a first for a compact Audi SUV.
In profile, the SUV maintains a clean silhouette with pronounced rear haunches and subtly flared arches, underscoring its sporty yet premium stance.
In a notable first, the third-gen Q3 becomes Audi’s smallest model yet to feature Digital Matrix LED headlights. These advanced units can project animations and visual warnings onto the road surface, including welcome graphics. The rear OLED lighting setup also adds an extra dimension of safety and style, with dynamic turn signals and multiple light signatures available.
The cabin of the new Q3 has been loaded with a lot of unique features, with a strong emphasis on driver focus. The dashboard features a panoramic display setup that includes a 12.8-inch central touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, both running on the Android Automotive OS. A flat, shelf-like extension under the central display gives the cockpit a clean and uncluttered appearance, enhanced by ambient LED lighting.
Unlike some of Audi’s larger offerings, the Q3 does not offer a co-driver screen. However, its redesigned centre console eliminates traditional gear selectors, moving many functions to stalks behind the steering wheel to free up space and streamline ergonomics.
The third-gen Q3 offers an enhanced Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which is capable of supporting semi-autonomous driving at speeds up to 210 km/h. The updated suite includes:
Notably, some of these digital services will require a renewed subscription after the first three years.
Audi says it has retuned the Q3’s suspension setup to improve driving dynamics. The SUV comes standard with steel springs and dampers, while buyers can opt for:
The new Audi Q3 offers diverse powertrain options right from launch, including mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options alongside conventional internal combustion engines.
Petrol Variants:
Diesel Variant:
The 2.0 TDI (FWD) generates a power output of 147.5 bhp and is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV):
Audi has confirmed that the third-generation Q3 will go on sale in Europe by the fourth quarter of 2025. A rollout to other global markets will follow soon after, with an India launch expected sometime in 2026.
The 2025 Audi Q3 marks a major evolution in the compact luxury SUV segment with its bold styling, cutting-edge technology, electrified powertrains, and high-end lighting systems. By bringing premium features previously reserved for flagship models into the compact class, Audi has set the stage for a strong comeback in this competitive category.
