Nissan announces the launch of the Magnite facelift on October 4, featuring cosmetic updates and new amenities while maintaining its current mechanical specifications.

Nissan Magnite Facelift: October 4 Launch with Design and Feature Updates

Nissan is set to introduce the first facelift of its Magnite model on October 4, nearly four years after its initial launch in 2020. While specific details remain undisclosed, industry experts anticipate that the refreshed version will primarily focus on visual enhancements and additional features, rather than mechanical alterations. This update aims to maintain the Magnite's competitiveness in the compact SUV segment, which has seen increased competition in recent years.

The exterior of the facelifted Magnite is expected to receive several notable changes:

  • Redesigned front and rear bumpers
  • Updated grille and modified headlight
  • New alloy wheel designs and wheel covers

Inside the cabin, possible upgrades may comprise:

  • Introduction of a single-pane electric sunroof
  • 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity
  • Wireless phone charging capability
  • 7-inch digital driver display
  • Refreshed dashboard materials and seat upholstery

Despite these changes, the Magnite's powertrain options will likely remain unchanged. The current line-up features two 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engines:

1. Naturally aspirated unit: 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque
2. Turbocharged variant: 98 bhp and up to 160 Nm of torque

Transmission choices are expected to continue as follows:

5-speed manual gearbox (both engines)

5-speed AMT (naturally aspirated engine)

CVT automatic (turbocharged engine)

The current pricing structure for the Nissan Magnite ranges from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 11.27 lakh (ex-showroom). While slight adjustments may occur with the facelift, dramatic price changes are not anticipated.

The Nissan Magnite facelift will be up against rivals in its price bracket, such as the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue at the upper end and the Tata Punch and Maruti Fronx at the lower end.

This update to the Magnite demonstrates Nissan's intent to maintain its presence in the competitive compact SUV market. By refreshing the design and incorporating new features, the automaker strives to attract new buyers while retaining the aspects that have made the Magnite popular since its debut.
