Hero MotoCorp opens booking for Hero Xpulse 200 4V second batch. Read for more details.
Hero MotoCorp- World’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has announced that it has started accepting bookings for the second batch of its highly coveted adventure bike the Hero Xpulse 200 4V (Four Valve). The first batch of the bike was instantly sold out and those who missed the chance earlier can book theirs now by making advance payment of Rs. 10,000 on the company’s eSHOP online sales platform.
Hero Xpulse 200 4V- Design:
Visually the Xpulse 200 4V is similar to the earlier Xpulse 200 and gets the same adventure bike looks with upswept exhaust, windscreen at front, handlebar guards, high-set front fender and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear, dual purpose spoke wheels.
The bike also has longer suspension travel, aluminium engine guard, digital LCD instrument display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, LED headlights, front and rear disc brakes with single channel ABS and a hefty 220mm ground clearance.
For those looking for a little more adventure, Hero MotoCorp also offers a Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) approved, Rally Kit for the Xpulse 200 4V, which includes rally-tuned adjustable suspension setup, Maxxis off-road tyres, increased 275mm ground clearance, a taller seat, handlebar risers and extended gear pedal.
The Xpulse 200 4V is offered in three exciting colour options by the company- Matt Nexus Blue, Polestar Blue and Sports Red.
Engine and Transmission:
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is powered by the BS6 199.6cc, oil cooled 4 stroke 4 valve engine making 18.8hp power and 17.3nm of torque mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike has a 13L fuel tank and a seat height of 825mm.
Price and Rivals:
Hero Xpulse 200 4V starting price is Rs. 1.30 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi and rivals the likes of Honda CB200X starting price Rs. 1.44 lakhs in the entry level off-roader segment and the more premium Royal Enfield Himalayan starting price Rs. 2.14 lakhs as well as the recently launched Yezdi Adventure starting price Rs. 2.11 lakhs.
Hero MotoCorp in 2022:
Hero MotoCorp is betting big on electric vehicles and is looking to launch its first electric scooter in India by March this year, The company is looking to strengthen itself in the EV space against its current rivals like Honda, Bajaj and TVS as well as new start-ups like OLA, Simple Energy and Bounce.
The two-wheeler giant is currently embroiled in a court case with Hero Electric regarding the use of the Hero name in the electric market but it also looks to have readied a back-up plan in Aether Energy as they have recently invested over Rs. 420 crores in the EV start-up in which they have over 30% stake.
