Learn about the enhanced safety measures of Tata Altroz. Read out the whole news about this latest update on how it's now safer than ever before.
Tata Motors continues its commitment to safety by enhancing the Altroz, its premium hatchback, with the inclusion of the Electronic Stability Program (ESC) as a standard feature across all variants. ESC, a sophisticated safety technology, enhances vehicle stability by detecting and reducing loss of traction, helping drivers maintain control in challenging driving conditions such as slippery roads or sudden manoeuvres.
Despite this significant safety upgrade, Tata Motors has kept the Altroz prices unchanged, ensuring affordability and accessibility for customers. Starting at ₹6.65 lakh and reaching ₹10.80 lakh (ex-showroom), the Altroz remains competitive in its segment.
Moreover, the Altroz retains its array of safety features, including dual front airbags, Brake Sway Control, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and impact-sensing door unlock, further bolstering its safety credentials.
Altroz comes in four powertrain options to suit diverse preferences and driving needs. These include a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine generating 87 bhp and 115 Nm, a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with outputs of 108 bhp and 140 Nm, a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 89 bhp and 200 Nm, and a CNG variant with a detuned engine delivering 73 bhp and 103 Nm. All engines come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, with the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine also offering a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Tata Altroz offers six variants, including XZ and XZ+, with the latter featuring a sunroof option, catering to diverse customer preferences.
Positioned against competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20, the Altroz stands out with its comprehensive safety features, advanced technology, and dynamic performance, reaffirming Tata Motors' commitment to delivering exceptional value and safety to its customers.
However almost every competitor of Altroz like Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 comes with ESC and also in the safety rating test it has been made compulsory. Right now the only models that do not have ESC are the Tiago and Tigor. So soon we can also expect that in them.
