1. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto

Maruti is expected to launch its updated version of the Maruti Suzuki Alto by next year.

It gives a mileage of 22.05 in a Petrol version to 31.59 km/kg in a CNG Version.

Maruti could offer to customers a 1.0-litre version, which may be powered by a derivative of the new 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Dual Jet, Dual VVT, K10C petrol engine. Currently, Alto is also offered a CNG option as well, and Maruti Suzuki is likely to continue it.

2. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Maruti Suzuki is being ready for the launch of its other popular car the Baleno with some major changes.

The new Baleno is expected to be wider from the front with new LED DRLs and a new headlamp design. The grille is now wider and squarish in shape with a new design for the front bumper and fog lights. Overall the front is expected to be more squarish which makes it look wider and mature than the earlier curvy design.

The major changes are to be seen in the interiors with a free-standing, larger touchscreen infotainment unit offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. A new instrument cluster with a new digital MID and new connected car features are expected with the material quality to be improved too while the steering will be borrowed from the Swift making the cabin feel fresh and modern.

The engine will remain unchanged, with the 1.2L petrol unit continuing to service, also the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be priced higher than the current version.

3. 2022 Tata Tiago And Tata Tigor

Tata Motors is planning to enter the CNG passenger vehicle segment, with Tiago CNG and the Tata Tigor CNG in January 2022. These CNG versions have been seen testing multiple times on the Indian roads.

2022 Tata Tiago CNG and the Tigor CNG have expected to be priced at Rs 7L – Rs 8L

The Tata Tigor is going to be the only model to offer CNG, petrol and electric segments in the market. These regular models will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine. Which can generate 86bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. These vehicles will get a manual gearbox as standard and could receive new CNG badges on the front fenders and on the rear profile.

The Tata Tiago CNG variant is expected to rival Hyundai Santro CNG and the Maruti Wagon R CNG, whereas the Tigor CNG will rival the Hyundai Aura CNG.

4. 2022 Tata Punch

Tata Punch diesel/CNG variant has been spotted testing on roads a few days ago, this means we can expect a new update from their side. Tata Punch is expecting to launch a new diesel avtar in the market, with an SUV body design.

The existing Version of Tata Punch gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 85bhp and 113Nm of torque comes with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT gearbox.

This Tata Punch engine comes with a start-stop function and two drive modes- City and Eco. The company also provides turbocharged engines in the Tata Altroz. These turbocharged engines produce 108bhp and 140Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

A similar engine setup is expected to be offered in the Tata Punch. The new variant will be launched by mid-2022.
